What did you do this past week?

This week was pretty big for me. I got through a couple of my tests that I felt confident on. I also heard back from my interviews for this summer's internship and got good news as well. Finally, I also got my first dose of the COVID vaccine so I just feel really relieved about everything by the end of this week.

What’s in your way?

Not much right now. Just have to finish up phase 2 right now. Not trying to think of too much right now because of Spring break so I’m just trying to enjoy myself for a while before we get back into things.

What will you do next week?

Because it’s spring break I don’t really have big plans. I’m home right now so I’m really looking forward to eat home food for a full week before relying on my cooking.

If you read it, what did you think of the Liskov Substitution Principle?

I thought it was really interesting. It accompanied the article last week about the open-closed principle really well and I learned a lot. It was a lot to get through but I will definitely be thinking about these kinds of considerations when coding in the future especially when dealing with inheritance.

What was your experience of iteration, comprehensions, generators, and digits iterator? (this question will vary, week to week)

It was pretty new stuff but this made me really excited about learning more and more with Python. Comprehension is super cool to me and I’m looking forward to learning more and apply it in my coding practices.

What made you happy this week?

Lots of things made me happy this week. I got my COVID vaccine, got to go home and see my parents, and also figured out what I’m going to be doing this summer.

What’s your pick-of-the-week or tip-of-the-week?

I’m always interested in new AI things and this website I found this week was really cool to look at and try out. It is supposed to record your singing and tell you how close you are to the real artist who sang the song. I personally have not seen too many AI programs that deal with audio so this was super cool to look at.
